About the 3G Pitch

A 3G pitch is a high-quality synthetic playing surface designed to replicate natural grass while offering all-weather performance. It combines artificial turf, sand, and performance infill for a safe and reliable playing experience year-round.  

Why are we developing a 3G pitch?

Our new 3G surface delivers: 

  • 100m x 64m Area
  • Small Sided Games
  • Spectator Area
  • FIFA‑quality artificial turf 
  • Full floodlighting for evening use – (All year-round use?) 
  • All‑weather playability 
  • Safe, comfortable surface for training and matches 

Suitable for:  

  • Football (training + fixtures) 
  • Walking football 
  • Rugby (training) 
  • Community programmes for all ages 

The pitch meets the latest national guidelines for community and club use.

The facility will open in September 2026 Updates will be shared across our website and social channels. 

It’s a third-generation (3G) artificial turf suitable for football and rugby and community use.

Pricing depends on pitch size (full/half) and peak/offpeak times.

Allowed: Moulded studs, AG boots 
Not allowed: Metal studs, flat trainers, and (depending on policy) blades.
