Old Station Tintern

The Old Station has developed an excellent reputation as one of the area’s top visitor centres, with our restored railway carriages offering a wealth of local information and history. Inside, you’ll also find an N‑gauge model railway, an indoor children’s play area, and a video presentation exploring the history of the Wye Valley Railway and the Circle of Legends.

Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the circular walking route through beautiful meadows and along the river, taking in the stunning views of the Wye Valley.

We are a dog‑friendly site and welcome dogs in the Tearooms as well as in our picnic area. We kindly ask that all dogs remain on a lead and that owners clean up after their pets.

Old Station Tea Room

The Old Station Tearoom is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am–4pm. Enjoy locally sourced food and drink, with breakfast served 10am–12pm, including freshly cooked bacon and egg sandwiches. Lunch is available 12pm–3.30pm, offering jacket potatoes, toasties and sandwiches with a range of fillings.

Treat yourself to cakes from Isabel’s Bakehouse or a freshly ground coffee from the Welsh Coffee Co. We also offer children’s lunch bags, plus dog treats and ice cream.

A small gift shop in the Tearooms features a selection of local products.
