Caldicot Castle & Country Park
UPDATE: In line with the Welsh Government announcement, Caldicot Castle internal grounds will be open to the public from 1st April 2021. Including takeaway refreshments available between 11am – 4pm.
The country park and car park is operating from 8:30am – 8pm. During our open season, the castle’s hours are 11am to 4pm from Tuesday to Sunday and entry is free. The castle is closed on Mondays (except bank holidays). The toilets in the country park are also open at 8.30 am -4.30 pm.

Caldicot Castle & Country Park was founded by the Normans, developed in royal hands as a stronghold in the Middle Ages and restored as a Victorian family home. The castle, which is within the idyllic wooded country park, has a romantic and colourful history.
During our open season, the castle’s hours are 11am to 4pm from Tuesday to Sunday and entry is free. The castle is closed on Mondays (except bank holidays).
Visitors to the castle can explore its history, enjoy walks through the tranquil gardens and trails around the park and refreshments in the tea room.

Between the end of October and April vehicular access and the main car park is closed between 5.30pm and 8.00am (although the Church Road car park remains open). The Country Park remains open in this time.

Caldicot Castle is open 6 days a week and Admission is FREE.
