On this 4.5 mile (7 km) walk you will cross the Castle Meadows on the edge of Abergavenny before following fields close to the River Usk towards Govilon. Return via sections of old railway line and the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.
Join MonLife Countryside for this free 5 mile (8 km) walk following the Beacons Way to the top of the Skirrid Fawr, from where beautiful views of the surrounding countryside can be enjoyed.
Join MonLife Countryside for this free 7.5 mile (12 km) walk along the Gwent Levels and Severn Estuary. You'll find out about the heritage and natural history of this interesting part of Monmouthshire, passing the site of the old marshalling yards at Severn Tunnel junction, an old quarry, some woodland and an old “Windmill.”
A free 7.5 mile (12km) walk in the countryside near Abergavenny. We'll be following lanes and footpaths to Llantilio Pertholey Church. We continue skirting below Skirrid Fawr before crossing the valley to Pantygelli. We then follow a green lane around the foot of the Sugar Loaf to return to our starting point.
Join us for this interesting 4.5 mile (7km) walk exploring the history Angidy Valley. The walk follows a path of leads to Abbey Tintern Furnace and then climbs around Buckle Wood to return via St Mary's Church, Lime Kiln, Tintern Abbey and Abbey Mill.
