Caldicot Castle and Country Park Project Development Officer

Caldicot Castle is set within 55 acres of idyllic country park. Founded by the Normans, developed in royal hands as a stronghold in the Middle Ages and restored as a Victorian family home, the castle has a romantic and colourful history.

We are looking for an inquisitive individual who will coordinate identified projects and key feasibility studies to create a strong infrastructure for the Castle & Country Park site and other associated heritage sites.  This will involve the development and enhancement of projects on offer and preservation of heritage assets and their significance to partners, developers, investors, residents, Members and other stakeholders.

You will help us create a strategic plan for the Castle and Country Park that will assist in the preparation of projects ready for future development. Through your developing of initial strategies, you will ensure that these sites have significant potential to offer high quality, vibrant and enriching health, wellbeing and cultural experiences to a much wider range and number of people than we currently welcome.

The post will give you the opportunity to apply your project management and strategy development skills. You will have excellent communication and networking skills and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, engaging with a wide range of staff, volunteers, community groups and specialists is essential. and is able to develop and nurture relationships at an individual, community and organisational level.
